If you like the traditional Cape Breton music this is the place to be. There is something going on virtually every night of the week, either in Mabou or a neighbouring community. The West Mabou Family Square Dance operates year round, every Saturday night.

During July and August some of the regular events are:
Monday – Brook Village Adult Square Dance 10 pm – 1 am
Tuesday – Ceilidh at Mabou Hall 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Wednesday – Ceilidh at Ceilidh Cottages, West Mabou (subject to change)
Thursday – Glencoe Mills Square Dance 10 pm – 1 am
Friday – S.W. Margaree Square Dance 9:30 pm – 1 am
Saturday – West Mabou Family Square Dance 10 pm – 1 am
Sunday – Mabou, Fiddlers Matinee Red Shoe Pub 4 pm – 8 pm
