I cannot say enough about the service, the accommodations, and the food. If there were more stars, they would get them all. I highly recommend visiting Mabou and the west side of the island and staying at the River Inn whenever you get the chance! - Lydia Kerr
“Family oriented stay”
Stayed at this Bed & Breakfast from Sept. 2nd to the 6th, 2019. Beautiful place,
very warm atmosphere. Great place to relax. Brian & Laura were very helpful with anything we needed. Great breakfast and were allowed to use the kitchen when ever we wanted. Met many wonderful people. Can't go wrong with this B&B.
“Rustic, cozy place”
This was our last night on a 3 night journey around the Cabot Trail. After a day of hiking a whale watching this was a lovely place to relax. Our room had its own bathroom which was sparkling clean. We also made use of the lounge on the upper floor to watch a movie. Our room had 3 windows which made for a pleasant cross breeze for sleeping. I have to comment on the decor- it was BEAUTIFUL! Rustic but not over done at all. Very welcoming and cozy.
Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and delicious. Brian and Laura were gracious welcoming hosts. This is a wonderful place and it would be great to go back there with a group of couples to spend a few nights. We didn't get to explore the property because we were only there for one night but I would love to go back sometime for a few nights to really relax. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from the city to recharge, rest, and reset!
